The theme of the conference is “Discussing Global Issues within the Framework of the United Nations”
The subtopics are as follows:
1. The United Nations and the future of Human Rights
2. Can the United Nations still be the foundation of global peace?:Jus ad bellum, Jus in bello , Jus post bellum.
3. Proliferation of courts within the UN system.
4. The United Nations Security Council and its Role in the 21st Century
5. The United Nations and non-international armed conflicts.
The Conference will be held through three sub-events: Keynote Seminars of Professors, Panels of paper presenting participants and Model United Nations (MUN).
In order to have a chance to be a presenter at the conference panels on one of the above topics, the abstract submission deadline is May14, 2010.
