Who Has Been Using Best Practices?

When Best Practices for Legal Education was published in March, 2007, a box of 32 copies was shipped directly from the printing company to most law schools.

Subsequently, the following law schools requested enough copies for their entire faculties to have a copy:

  • Charlotte
  • Florida
  • Gonzaga
  • John Marshall, Chicago
  • LSU
  • Montana
  • New Mexico
  • Northern Kentucky
  • Nova Southeastern
  • Oklahoma City
  • Osgoode Hall, Toronto
  • Seattle
  • S. Dakota
  • Southern Illinois
  • Stetson
  • Temple
  • Wake Forest
  • Washington, St. Louis

The book has been handed out at a number of professional meetings, including the 2007 AALS New Teachers Workshop. Some state bar committees, law students, adjunct faculty, and practicing lawyers have also requested copies.

International interest has been surprisingly strong. The book has been translated into Russion and a Japanese translation is underway. ABA-CEELI distributed several boxes in various countries, and copies have been sent to law teachers in the following countries, among others: Australia, Canada, China, England, Hungary, India, Japan, Scotland, and South Africa.
